Tony Pellicano established Pellicano Construction located in Albany, Georgia in 1976 with the renovation of the Old Dougherty County Jail for $50,000 and the Welcome Center at the Georgia Veterans State Park for $300,000. The 1980’s marked the diversification into multiple market segments negotiating contracts with private commercial clients in the corporate commercial, faith based and industrial market segments. The client list included such companies as Southern Bell, SunTrust Bank, Regions Bank, Synovus, Miller Coors Brewery, Merck, Proctor & Gamble, Grainger and Cooper Tire.
The turn of the century marked another milestone for Pellicano with the construction of the $10 million dollar Miller-Murphy-Howard Convention Center and the hiring of Stephen Dew, Executive Vice President/COO, to manage all operations. Since 2000 the company has expanded into the retail, hospitality and healthcare markets negotiating contracts as a construction manager.
Another milestone was reached in 2008 when the company opened a full service office in Atlanta, GA to offer our clients a broader range of services throughout the southeast region in all market segments. Additionally, Pellicano opened a third full service office in Macon, GA in 2014 to better serve the middle Georgia service industries and a fourth full service office in Athens in 2018.
In 2015 Stephen Dew was named President and Chief Executive Officer. Our steady growth since 2001 has allowed us to add personnel with specific expertise in the pre-construction and construction management services we have always operated in. Today we are licensed and/or authorized to work in 21 states offering complete construction management services.
