Pellicano Construction recently completed a renovation to the laboratory at PPMH in Albany, GA. This renovation was a (5) phased project including: serology, histology, hematology, cytology, chemistry and administrative areas. Pellicano Construction took every precaution necessary to provide a safe and healthy work environment not only for the construction workers, but also for the employees of Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Such measures included constructing anti-rooms and dust partitions to prevent cross contamination from the work site to the adjacent laboratories. The project included heavy equipment change outs, a pneumatic tube system, a De-ionized water system, grossing stations and all new modular casework installation. Pellicano Construction completed this project while working around the hospital’s busy hours and schedule. This project was completed in 10 months.
